New Hampshire colleges and universities are eager to recruit service year alumni to earn an affordable post-secundary degree or credential in the Granite State! Many even waive their application fees, offer deferments to accepted students who wish to do a service year, and provide exclusive scholarships for AmeriCorps Alums and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.

Antioch University

Benefit: The AmeriCorps award will be matched dollar for dollar by AUNE during that first year in an amount of up to $5,325. Scholarships are available annually to incoming students at the master’s or doctoral level who have completed an AmeriCorps experience prior to enrolling and have an AmeriCorps award to apply toward their expenses at AUNE.

Granite State College

Benefit: A 50% match of their Segal AmeriCorps Education Award up to $3,448 scholarship.

Benefit: A dollar-for-dollar match of up to one full-time Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. UNH will also waive the application fee for all applicants to the Carsey School of Public Policy.
